Destination Wedding Association (DWA) is a group of professionals who have one goal, to provide couples an all around Excellence in Destination Wedding Planning.  With so many pitfalls out in this fastest growing section of the wedding market, a couple has no reference to know who they have contacted.    The current issues that face this industry are: * Lack of accurate information by the planner * The couple is dealing with one company for the travel and another for the wedding * Inexperienced newcomers entering this business without the educational skills to truly provide excellent service. * Lack of support to create excellent professional Destination Wedding Planners. Many bridal couples are looking for savvy Destination Wedding Planners to reduce the stress of planning a wedding away from home. Every consultant here is dedicated to providing both travel and wedding planning in one package.  Some have certain destinations, while others are cross trained to provide an honest comparison.  All of the members here take the proper steps to keep themselves educated on the products that this sell and how to professionally manage a destination wedding.  A Certified Destination Wedding Planner (CDWP) designation is the hallmark of professional achievement earned through education, performance and experience working in this industry.   This also reflects a commitment to ethics and professional conduct that are set forth by the Board of Directors.   We welcome any professional who works with destination weddings to join our association.  In promoting these high ethical standard of practice within the destination wedding community, you will truly become successful!  :: more

Levels of Certified Destination Wedding Consultants Each consultant is awarded a designation based on their continuing education and experience.  Every consultant is required to attend DWA's formal education program along with contributing their real world experiences.  We believe that there are different degrees to planning a destination wedding.  This designation will help couples find one that matches what they are looking for with ease.    :: more
