Starting July 1, 2008 a program has been created to combine both the educational programs offered by the DWA and real world experience. We feel that both areas are important to the growth of members success within this industry.
The higher the designation earned, the more opportunities for the member to grow there business. Couples want to work with someone that they know has the experience behind them.

Education
If you are joining as a novice you are required to take the Educational Program to start your career in Destination Weddings. All other levels are required to attend and successfully pass various seminars and workshops throughout the year either via webinar and at various cities throughout the United States. Vendors
We have various levels of membership for vendors depending upon the services they provide. Our membership accepts all areas of vendors from international consultants, photographers, florists, resorts and venue owners. As a vendor with our organization you will have access to promote your product to our various members, however most importantly is to be their approved source to offer their clients.
All vendors go through an extensive application process that must include references and portfolio, demonstrate your willingness to provide a high quality product and participation in various features with our members yearly.

Novice Level - New to the industry. Is required to take the Training Course with tests, attend seminars & passed this level's yearly exam.
Bronze Level - From at least 2 years of experience, taken the educational course & passed this level's yearly exam.
Silver Level - From 3 years to 5 years of experience, no less then 8 letters of recommendation from bridal couples yearly, completed attended the Yearly Annual Conference & Seminars plus passed this level's educational program & yearly exam.
Gold Level - From 6 years to 9 years of experience, no less then 18 letters of recommendation from bridal couples yearly, published works, presentation at annual conference, seminar attendance plus passed this level's educational program & yearly exam.
Master Destination Wedding Consultant - 10 years or more of experience, letters of recommendation from bridal couples yearly, published works, moderator at annual conference, teach 3 or more seminars yearly plus passed this level's educational program & yearly exam.
